KITCHENER – The Waterloo Wellington Children’s Groundwater Festival (WWCGF) returns to Waterloo Region from May 23 to 29.

The week-long festival welcomes over 5,000 Grade 2 to Grade 5 students, 200 teachers and over 500 volunteers from Waterloo Region, Guelph and Wellington County to learn about water and their role in preserving and protecting our most important natural resources.

The WWCGF returns to Waterloo Region for the first time since 2019 as a part of the festival’s rotating schedule to service students in all jurisdictions within the catchment area.

The 2023 and 2024 festivals took place at Guelph Lake and Marden Park, respectively.

About the WWCGF

Since 1996, WWCGF has provided students in Waterloo Region, Guelph and Wellington County with interactive education activities to teach them about sources of water by learning from industry, government and water education professionals at a week-long festival.
