Volunteers clean up in Clifford
CLIFFORD – Clifford is now cleaner thanks to volunteers who picked up waste and plastic in the community for Earth Day.
More than a dozen volunteers took to the streets on April 15 with bags provided by Midwest Co-operative in Harriston.
“Beautiful weather made the work easier and volunteers greeted several community members out doing similar clean-up on their yards and enjoying the sunshine,” organizers state.
Volunteers were treated to a pizza lunch donated by Clifford Take-out and some sweet treats to finish off the morning.
This community cleanup event was organized by the Clifford and District Horticultural Society and Clifford Connects Beautification Committee.
