VOISIN, Joan
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joan Adela Voisin (née Radcliffe) of Teeswater, announce Joan’s passing, after a brief illness, on May 28th, 2026, at the Wingham and District Hospital. Born in Sussex, New Brunswick, Joan balanced high school with her role as caregiver to her ailing father, which was a prelude into her work as a caregiver later in her life. Following her high school graduation, Joan married Mike Fournier, and welcomed their son, Christopher. The family moved to Ontario for employment and lived in Kincardine and Port Elgin, Ontario. As a true east coaster, Joan enjoyed baking treats for the neighbourhood kids, live music and dancing. Something that continued throughout her life as she attended many jam sessions and jamborees within the Bruce County region. Joan was a competitive archer with excellent markswoman skills, who regularly won archery competitions at local ranges and clubs. Joan is survived by her son Christopher Fournier (Lisa) of Burlington, and her fiancée Laverne Ferguson of Mount Forest, Ontario. Predeceased by her parents, Evelyn (née Glenn) and Melbourne Radcliffe, sister Beverly Radcliffe, brother Glen Radcliffe, and husbands Mike Fournier of Sussex, New Brunswick, Stanley Campbell of Port Elgin, and Harold Voisin of Teeswater. We would like to thank Dr. Stephen Vander Klippe, Dr. Greg Antoniadis, along with the Imaging and Nursing teams of the Wingham and District Hospital, who provided guidance and compassionate care to Joan and her family during her stay there. A Memorial Service to honour Joan’s life was held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater, on Thursday, June 4th at 11:00am, with Ann Maycock officiating. Reception followed at the Teeswater Town Hall. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery, Port Elgin. Memorial donations to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation, appreciated as expressions of sympathy, to support the excellent care provided at this local hospital.
