Unusual trio to play Gallery Concert at museum
ABOYNE - The second Gallery Concert of the season will take place at the Wellington County Museum and Archives on Nov. 27 at 2pm.
Violinist Matthew Wilkinson will be the featured performer.
Wilkinson studied at the famous Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan for several years.
He joins Judith Douglas and Brad Moggach to play the Horn Trio by Johannes Brahms.
While a rather unusual combination of horn, violin and piano, the three instruments were all played by Brahms.
The piece demonstrates his deep understanding of the characteristics of each instrument, both in solo and ensemble settings.
Tickets may be purchased at the door for $10.
There will be coffee post-performance and time to meet with the musicians.
