UGDSB students compete in Skills Canada regionals

Skills demonstration – On April 4 over 1,300 Upper Grand District School Board students from 57 elementary schools competed at the regional Skills Canada competition at the University of Guelph. ABOVE LEFT:  Grade 6 Ponsonby students, from left: Olivia Pritchard, Kenadie Russell, Brooklyn Fleming and Anna Mabey, participated in the design and build challenge. TOP LEFT: The team from Aberfoyle Public School, including Grade 8 students, from left: Ali Syed, Fred Deter, Liam Derderian and Joel Reid, took on the design and build challenge. TOP RIGHT: From left: Phoenix Flynn (Grade 6), Porter Coverdale (Grade 6), Owen Deal (Grade 6) and Alex Schuetz (Grade 4) from Maryborough Public School participated in the Vex IQ challenge. ABOVE RIGHT: Evan Hansen (Grade 7), Anderson Stewart (Grade 7), Noah Siegel (Grade 7) and Nolan Givlin (Grade 8) of Erin Public School participated in the Lego mechanics challenge.
