UGDSB elementary students celebrate Pride
FERGUS – Elementary students from the Upper Grand District School Board participated in a Pride event at John Black Public School in Fergus on June 16.
The event was a collaborative effort for students from local elementary schools' gay-straight alliances or social justice groups coming together to celebrate Pride.
Officials say the groups have been working on creating connections between the schools in support of equity, inclusivity and diversity in the community.
Public schools in attendance included Elora, Eramosa, John Black, JD Hogarth, Ponsonby and Victoria Terrace.
