GUELPH – From March 26 to 28, the School of Theatre, English  and Creative Writing at the University of Guelph (U of G) will present Without Rule of Law by Michaela Jeffery.

A group of preteens explores a mysterious hidden lair while also sharing survivalist skills for a potential coming calamity. This darkly comic work explores the lives of a group of preteen girls convinced that the world around them cannot keep them safe.

This production is the culminating work of Theatre Studies’ fourth-year production course.

The show contains strong language, mild violence, discussion of cults and disappearances, themes of societal collapse, dark humour, allusions to parental abuse/unsafe family dynamics and the use of theatrical lighting and sound.

This production is presented in the Black Box Theatre in the Arts Research Centre in the MacKinnon Building on the U of G campus.

The show will take place at 8pm and will run for approximately 90 minutes without an intermission.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite.
