TURNER, Sean Brian
December 11, 1981 – February 17, 2026
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Sean Turner. Sean was born December 11th 1981, and he was the cherished father of Ryan Turner and devoted stepfather to Noah Wright-Guzman, who were the greatest joys of his life and meant more to him than anything in the world. Beloved son of Ian Turner (Faye) and Brigitte Turner (Steve). He was deeply loved by all of his family and he will be sadly missed by his siblings, Brett Turner (Julie) and David Turner (Danielle). Family meant everything to Sean. He will be lovingly remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews in the Turner, Lindner and Geddes families, along with his extended family. He also leaves behind a wide circle of close friends and longtime teammates whose lives he had touched. A proud Centre Wellington alumni, Sean lived a life marked by dedication, strength, and a strong work ethic. He was an electrician by trade, and he had a true passion for sports. He enjoyed a successful lacrosse career with the Elora Mohawks, Brock University, Arthur Aces, and Toronto Rock, and his commitment to community sport continued throughout his life. He served as a respected leader and coach with CW Minor Lacrosse, the Elora Mohawks, and the Brampton Excelsiors (Jr. A). Sean volunteered countless hours, driven by his deep passion for the game and for youth development. He wore each uniform with pride and represented every organization with dignity and professionalism, contributing to multiple championship teams. Sean was also a true outdoorsman and conservationist. He was a talented fisherman and he loved to boat, hike, and golf. In his later years, Sean faced personal challenges related to addiction. We are grateful for the care and support he received along the way. In lieu of flowers, the family invites support to AA or local addiction services and encourages acts of kindness and support for those navigating similar struggles. In keeping with Sean’s passion for sports and commitment to youth, donations in his memory may also be made to the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program. A Celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Graham A Giddy Funeral Home Ltd., 280 St. David St. S. Fergus, ON N1M 2L5, (519) 843-3100.
