TREAHY, Margaret Beryl “Peggy”
Passed away peacefully on February 18, 2019 at the age of 90 at Caressant Care, Arthur. Beloved wife of the late William Treahy (1996). Loving mother of Jacqueline (Rawlins), Toni (Dominic) and Tracie (Greig). Proud Nana of Ryan (Kelly), Joshua (Shannon), Nicole (Tom), Chelsea (Nick), Shannon (Jon), Ashley (Marty), Thea (Brian), Cleo (Johnny), Zoe (Jeff) and Jacob. Cherished Great- Nana of 16. She was a very involved Nana in the lives of all her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Her greats range in age 20 years to 1 week and she was proud and thrilled by them all. Peggy will be missed by her sister, sister-in-law, nephew, nieces and families in England and her nieces in BC. Peggy loved to travel and being a lifetime member of the Elora Legion. She was proud of many accomplishments such as, Georgetown’s 1st citizen of the year and being an early advocate for education for special needs adults and children. Family and friends visited at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David. St. South, Fergus on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. A Memorial Service was held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11:00am. Donations to Groves Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
