The municipality has reached a settlement with its former CAO, but details of the agreement will remain confidential, township officials state.

Mapleton Mayor Neil Driscoll confirmed on Jan. 8, when contacted by the Advertiser, that a settlement had been reached with former CAO/clerk Patty Sinnamon, who was let go by the township on July 2.

On Jan. 11, in response to another inquiry from the Advertiser, current CAO Brad McRoberts stated in an email, on behalf of Mayor Driscoll, “A mutually agreeable settlement was achieved and we are not at liberty to discuss any details.” Sinnamon was with the township since it’s formation in 1999.
