Township approves use of "Centre Wellington"
Councillors here have no objection to a business using the phrase ‘Centre Wellington’ as part of its name.
Mayor Joanne Ross-Zuj said the request made by Mach One is to use the name within a new business venture - Centre Wellington Sports - created by Tom Ristov and Dean Harrison.
The new retail “general partnership” is to be established on St. Andrew Street in Fergus.
The store will be selling primarily hockey, lacrosse equipment, ringette and ball hockey equipment.
The idea is for the store to open this July.
Council had no objections to the problem authorizing the request.
