CENTRE WELLINGTON – CAO Dan Wilson has announced the appointment of Adam Gilmore as the new managing director of community services, effective Nov. 3.
Gilmore succeeds Pat Newson, who will be retiring at the end of the year after seven years of service to the township.
Gilmore brings more than 18 years of experience in municipal management and engineering to the senior leadership role, including nearly five years with the township as manager of engineering.
Officials say his background includes the planning and delivery of infrastructure projects, strategic organizational planning, and a commitment to customer service and community development.
“We are thrilled to welcome Adam to this new position,” said Wilson.

“His proven leadership, collaborative approach and deep understanding of municipal operations make him exceptionally well-suited to guide our community services portfolio as we continue to grow and evolve.”
Throughout his career, Gilmore has led numerous capital infrastructure initiatives, including the development of the township’s new operations centre.
He also played a key role in the creation and implementation of the township’s 2023–26 strategic plan and related annual business plans.
Officials say Gilmore will oversee a wide range of divisions and initiatives aimed at enhancing quality of life in Centre Wellington, including recreation facilities, recreation programming, parks, township buildings, and community development.
“We are deeply grateful to Pat Newson for her years of service and the many contributions she has made to our community,” said Wilson.
“Her vision and leadership have strengthened our programs, facilities, and sense of community, setting us on a strong course for the future.”
