CENTRE WELLINGTON – The township has cancelled a public planning meeting slated for this evening, Feb. 22 at 6pm, at the Wellington County Museum and Archives due to expected inclement weather.

The meeting was to discuss two zoning change applications for 350 St Andrew St. W. in Fergus and the Geddes/Moir streets property in Elora.

Both proposals seek to add affordable housing but also seek to build four or five storey buildings in areas with three-storey height restrictions.

The meeting will be rescheduled at a later date, notes a statement on the township’s website.
