Thrift store gives back to the community
PALMERSTON – The Grey Wellington Theatre Guild (GWTG) is the recipient of a $4,000 donation from The Palmerston Blessings to You Centre.
The GWTG, operating from the Harriston Town Hall Theatre, has been providing high-caliber live theatre performances by local talented individuals for 50 years, enriching the artistic landscape of the community.
The Blessings to You Centre said they are proud to support this volunteer operated, non-profit organization. This 50th Anniversary year, the Canadian musical “Anne of Green Gables” will be staged by the GWTG as well as a Summer Youth Theatre program – (no cost to participants).
Cheque donation for $10,000
The Palmerston Lions Club actively gives back to the Minto community in a variety of ways.
“With the arrival of summery temperatures, it’s a great opportunity to stroll The Lions Heritage Park – an awesome space for all ages and created by dedicated Lions members donating hundreds of volunteer hours,” said officials from the Palmerston Blessings to You Centre, who recently presented $10,000 to the Club in support of capital projects.
