Three generations took part in cattle show at Royal Winter Fair

Experience in the ring - Three generations of a local family with extensive experience showing cattle were in the ring at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto on Nov. 2. From left: John Broadfoot, who has 65 years of experience showing cattle; his daughters Denise Kankanien and Marney Swanston, who have shown cattle for 41 and 39 years respectively; and grandson Justin Swanston, who has been showing for 12 years.Family members are in the ring with Swanridge Fancy, from Justin’s Elora-area Swanridge Livestock operation.
