THOMPSON, William (Bill)
Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Community Hospital with family by his side on Monday, July 27th, 2020. Survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Helen (nee Vrooman), daughter Pat and her husband Ted Hendry of Fergus, son Pete and Mary Thompson (Ralston) of Elora, 5 granddaughters and 6 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his grandson Aaron Hendry. Bill will be remembered by his nieces and nephews. He was an avid curler, golfer and baseball umpire. The family received guests at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. S. Fergus on Wednesday, July 29th. Private family service in the Chapel. Interment Belsyde Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
