Margaret ‘Peggy’ Adeline (Self) Thistel, formerly of Harriston, passed away at Royal Terrace, Palmerston, surrounded by Diane, Martin, and Brenda, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in her 100th year. Wife of the late Benn Thistel (2014). Mother of Diane Thistel & Donovan Auxilly of Listowel, and Martin & Brenda Thistel of Blind River. Loved by her grandchildren Ceara & Pat Bouchard, and Kristin & Dave Bouchard, and Ryan Thistel & Shirley Ann, all of Blind River, and by her great-grandchildren Matthew, Richard, Hailey, Everley, Noah, Autumn, Isaac, and Brooks. Remembered also by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Robert & Myrtle (Newton) Self, and by her siblings Ethel Self, Arthur Self, Violet Evans, Jean Self, Elmer Self, Ray Self, Norva Lang, and Bruce Self. Private family services was held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, on Saturday, September 14, 2024. Rev. Don McCallum officiated. Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
