I would like to thank all the sponsors for their support in our Alma Optimist Parade – Candy Cane Christmas, on Dec. 19.
We don’t actually have sponsors, that’s the secret to our community. We volunteer our time and resources and step up when there is an opportunity or need.
As well, the OPP ensured a safe environment for all the participants and Mapleton Township provided not only wonderful floats but barricades to direct traffic flow away from the event.
The creative floats, the music and all the voices of children singing allowed everyone a moment to escape the everydayness and embrace the magic of this season.
Finally, to all the people who lined the streets wishing everyone a Merry Christmas in the parade, thank you!
