CENTRE WELLINGTON – An enthusiastic crowd turned up at the Jefferson Elora Community Centre on March 22 for the third annual “Lights and Sirens” public skate and hockey game.

Centre Wellington firefighters played the OPP in an event to raise money and awareness for CrimeStoppers Guelph Wellington and the Centre Wellington Food Bank.

When all was said and done, the OPP claimed victory 10-1.

Food Bank manager Curt McQueen told the Advertiser that demand is accelerating at the food bank and its greatest need is for canned vegetables and pasta sauce.
