ERIN - The Long Rider, an award-winning documentary written and produced by local horseman Filipe Leite, will be screened in Erin on March 27.

The screening is hosted by Erin Agricultural Society’s Horse Heritage Committee.

The film documents Leite’s 25,000km-journey on horseback, starting at the Calgary Stampede and ending in his family’s hometown in Brazil.

The Long Rider was awarded the 2023 Western Heritage Awards Wrangler Winner for best western documentary.

Doors at Erin Centre 2000 (14 Boland Drive) open at 6pm on March 27 with the screening at 7pm.

Tickets are $12 each, and can be purchased at Sharpe’s in Erin, or by emailing partnershiperinfair@gmail.com.

Leite’s co-producer, Sean Cisterna, will answer audience questions after the film.
