The Fergus Grand Theatre hosts a night of Newfoundland music
‘Rock’ music - April 29 was quite a night for Newfoundland music in Fergus. The Derina Harvey Band was in town as the last part of Eric Goudie’s presenting series of live stage music at the Fergus Grand Theatre. Most of the crowd were from, or had ties to, “The Rock” and really enjoyed her music. Three of the performers were from Newfoundland, one from New Brunswick and Derina herself is from Labrador. The down-east songs have a particular sound to them which had the crowd up dancing in the aisles.
