He was born on the family farm near Grand Valley where he resided until 1987, when he retired from farming and moved to Grand Valley with his mother. Blake played softball as a young man and was an avid curler most of his life. He enjoyed watching curling and Blue Jays games on TV. He was a devout and life-long member of the Community of Christ Church in Grand Valley. Blake’s family would like to thank the staff at Headwaters Health Care Centre for their compassion and excellent care during his stay. Special thanks to Blake’s neighbours for all their help when Blake needed assistance. The Funeral Service will take place at In Memoriam Funeral Services Inc. on Friday July 10th, 2026 at 12:00pm, with 2 hours of visitation prior to the service time.  Interment will take place at Grand Valley Union Cemetery following reception.
