SWAN, Donna Jacqueline Evadney (nee: Prescod AKA Knight)

Passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in her home in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.  She was 53 years old. The sudden loss of this beloved soul leaves a profound void in the hearts and soul of all who loved her. Donna Jacqueline Evadney was born in Barbados in 1972 and immigrated to Canada in 1975. She settled with her family in Acton, Ontario, before moving to Guelph, Ontario, where she continued to live until her passing. She grew up in a large, close-knit, loving family. She was a student at Shelldale Public School, Willow Road Public School, Centennial CVI high school, and Conestoga College. Jacqueline loved God, life, her family, her friends and nature. She had a compassionate heart and worked in many roles where she could care for and help people of all ages. She loved being with children and learning with them. Throughout her life she left lasting impressions on the children she had in her care. Jacqueline also gave her time to volunteer in Children’s Ministry at Trinity Unity Church. She was an incredible light to many. She was the glue that held her family together. She always wore a smile and shared one wherever she went. She had a way of making everyone feel loved, seen, accepted and supported. She could love you through the good times and the bad times. She loved you even when you didn’t feel you deserved it because she knew everyone deserved to be loved. She loved you through disagreements, frustrations and differences of opinions, because she knew the world needed all our differences. Family and friends grieve her passing as they also celebrate and remember her as a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, cousin, niece, best friend and confidante.
