Passed away with family by her side, at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Tuesday, July 14th, 2026, in her 95th year. Born on August 25th, 1931, and raised at the family farm on the Second Line, Nassagaweya, Audrey was the pianist and choir director at Morriston United Church for over 20 years, an avid quilter, reader, puzzler, baker, long time member and sometimes President of Morriston Women’s Institute, she loved her trips to Vancouver, Texas, and Hawaii. Daughter of the late Albert Franklin (Frank) Rinehart and Clara Kate (Bell). Beloved wife of the late George Arthur Sutton of Puslinch. Loving mother of the late David (the late Colleen), Joan (Larry) Schwenker of St. Catharines, Peggy (the late Donald) McInnis of Kailua, Hawaii, Helen (Robert) Miller of Kitchener, and Glenn (Mary Beth) of Puslinch. Loving Nana of Vicki (Steve) Marshall, Wendi (Aaron) Marshall, Eric (Natalie Van der Maaden) Sutton, Geoffrey (Jenn) and Stephen Schwenker, Brian, Julie (Tim Penge), and Megan McInnis, Alex, Greg, Tim (Amy Cressman) and Michelle (Adam Wendland) Miller, Dale and Amanda Sutton, Katelyn (Cam) Arsenault. Proud Great Nana of Owen and Tyler, Hannah, Mckinley, Dean and Layla, Destiny and Trinity, Allison and Noah, Ava and Zoe, Ben and Leah, and Sutton. Predeceased by brothers Jack (Mary), Roy, Fred (Jean) Rinehart. Predeceased by sisters-in-law Gwelda Pogue, Dorothy Truesdale, Frances Lawson, and brother-in-law Harvey Sutton. A visitation was held on Sunday, July 19th, 2026 from 2:00 - 4:00pm at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph. A second visitation was held at the Puslinch Community Centre, 23 Brock Rd S, Puslinch (Aberfoyle) on Monday, July 20th, 2026 from 11am – 12pm. A funeral service followed in the Community Centre at 12:00pm. Arrangements entrusted to the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Audrey are asked to consider Hospice Wellington, The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital, or a charity of their choice. A tree will be planted in memory of Audrey J. Sutton in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
