SULLIVAN, Gail Patricia (MacDonald)

Was born in Kitchener on November 27, 1952 in Kitchener, and passed away at Royal Terrace, Palmerston on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the age of 73. Beloved mother of Ryan & Brandi Sullivan of Harriston, and Lindsay Sullivan & Will Schroeter of South Africa. Cherished grandmother of Isabella Sullivan, and Ryder and Killian Schroeter. Sister-in-law of Beth MacDonald, loving aunt to Chris & Eleise, and Mark & Hailey, and great-aunt of Ryland, Rhodes and Everleigh. Predeceased by her loving parents Hugh and Frances (Linthorne) MacDonald, and by her brother Roger MacDonald. Gail was a proud registered nurse her entire life and helped many people throughout her career. She was also a treasured college professor of nursing in British Columbia before retiring and moving home to Harriston to be with family. A life-long animal lover, Gail was well known to adopt rescue animals of all kinds. Gail was also an enthusiastic gardener and raised all kinds of domestic and exotic plants that she surrounded herself with. Gail’s kindness and compassion was well known, and she regularly donated and supported various causes that were close to her heart. Gail was also a very proud Newfie, and spent long hours happily researching her family tree going back many hundreds of years. A celebration of Gail’s life will be held at the Harriston Legion on Sunday, October 4, 2026 from 1:00 to 4:00pm with words at 2:00pm. Private interment to be held at the Harriston Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada, Royal Terrace Residents’ Council, or the Palmerston Hospital would greatly be appreciated, and may be made through the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston.
