STINSON, Jean
Jean Lavina Stinson of Guelph passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in her 87th year. Sister of Shirley Coates-Male of Wasaga Beach, Irving Stinson of Guelph, and John and Beth Stinson of Moorefield. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews Cheryl & Doug Louch, Donna & Andy Wood, Lorelei Stinson & Dave McEachran, Carolyn Crawford & Derek Dubreuil, and Kevin Stinson & Meggen Janes, great-nieces and great-nephews Michael Crawford & Keri Cadger, Sarah Crawford & Jake Ouellett, Tyler Stinson, Lucas Stinson, and Dandy McEachran, and by her great-great-niece and great-great-nephews, Maddie, Liam, Finnegan, and Jaxson. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Marjorie (Connell) Stinson, sister Alberta Stinson, sister-in-law Janet Stinson, and brothers-in-law Hugh Coates and Ralph Male. After retirement, Jean continued to keep abreast of the changes in the editorial field. She considered herself to be a lifelong learner. In addition to being a book lover she also enjoyed the arts attending plays and concerts. She was an avid follower of current events and world politics. She was a devoted fan CBC radio and CBC news. She enjoyed spending time with her extended family. The funeral service will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, on Thursday, November 12 at 11:30am. Interment in Harriston Cemetery.
