STANTON, Walter (Wally/Buzzy)
In his 89th year after a short battle with Cancer on the 8th day of April, 2022 at the Peterborough Hospice. Survived by his brother Alec Stanton (Tom and Leigh-Anne) as well as Buzzies 5 daughters Kathie MacDuff (Kevin), Dianne Stanton, Shirley Hurd (Wes) Carol Sitter (Jamie) Deb Sandau (Dave) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and predeceased by his wife Dodie Stanton (Wendy, Cindy & Fred), formerly of Mount Forest, Ontario. As per his wishes a Celebration of Life is being planned for Buzzy (Wally) using Zoom in order to include all his widespread family and friends. If you are interested in participating, please contact the family so an invitation can be sent to you with the Zoom codes. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate you considering a donation to the Peterborough Hospice as it is run on a donation basis. Special thanks go to the staff, nurses and doctors at the Hospice who went out of their way to make his last 2 weeks special. The care and compassion that they showed to my father and our family will never be forgotten.
