STANNERS, Gwen

Passed away peacefully at Royal Terrace Long Term Care at the age of 98 with her family by her side on March 20, 2026. Loving wife of the late Andy Stanners (1991). Dear friend of the late Ken Morgan (2017). Loved Mother of Bill (Linda), Bob (Karen) and Ann (Doug). Fondly remembered by her Ten grandchildren, Seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Richard and Effa Wooddisse, one brother, four sisters and one granddaughter. Mom was an avid quilter. She enjoyed her time on the farm and in her garden and flower beds. She was always happy to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family appreciates the excellent care shown to her for the past eight years at Royal Terrace in Palmerston. At Mom’s request, just like Dad, there will be no visitation or funeral. Her body has been donated to Human Anatomy Program at the University of Guelph. Her final resting place will be in Hollen Cemetery in the Stanners Family plot beside Dad. Arrangements entrusted to Heritage Funeral Homes Inc, Drayton, Ontario.
