Stamp collecting topic for diners
]Guest speaker Jim Measures of Clifford shared his expertise, knowledge and stories related to stamp collecting at the Seniors Centre for Excellence congregate dining program here on Feb. 16. He shared stamps, awards, feature articles and show memorabilia.
Measures, a member of the Saugeen Stamp Club, has won awards for his stamp show exhibits. His collection includes old post cards and letters that show the stamp and the cancellation date.
Measures recently helped Clifford postmaster Ann Lange with a reveal of the newest cancellation stamps in Clifford. Last year, the Clifford Homecoming cancellation stamp was created and this year, a stamp featuring the village’s covered bridge.
