Sportsplex costs requested
What exactly is the final cost of the Mount Forest Sportsplex?
Wellington North Councillor Ross Chaulk said it is something that seems to be on the minds of local residents.
“I’ve had a few people ask me ‘What has the new arena cost?’ ”
The facility opened last year.
While Chaulk said he has a rough idea, “When will we know exactly what the total cost is?”
Councillor Dan Yake said the municipality has been working with Bye Construction. He said they have the numbers together and all the bills are in now, and the final tally.
However, staff still want to go through the information for verification.
“We will have it here very shortly,” Yake said.
Chaulk replied, “I’d kinda like to put this to rest,” .
Yake said, “We just want to make sure all the numbers are correct before we make an announcement.”
“I’ve just heard about this so often, I’m getting a little tired of it,” Chaulk said.
