Spark V4 symposium set for April 15

ELORA – The Grand River Agricultural Society is hosting the SPARK V4 symposium, a showcase of high growth potential businesses in the Ag Tech and Green Tech sector.

The event, at the GrandWay Events Centre on April 15, will showcase five companies and one will be named the winner.

The companies include:

VETSon, a veterinary telemedicine platform specializing in helping rural and large animal veterinary practices reach their clients through video consultations;

Cstainable Inc., a Canadian precision ag-tech and climate-tech company that enables greenhouse growers to increase yields;

Farm Health Guardian, a biosecurity management technology to help farms and food companies improve animal health;

FloNergia Systems, an Ontario corporation that provides innovative FloMov™ airlift pumps; and

Haggerty AgRobotics, a leader in the emerging agriculture robotics and automation industry.

Dr. Deb Stark, a former Deputy Minister of OMAFRA (Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs) and Chief Veterinary Officer for Ontario will be the emcee and Evan Fraser, director of the Arrell Food Institute at the University of Guelph, is the keynote speaker.

Doors open at 11:30am and the event concludes at 5pm.

Tickets are $25 and must be purchased in advance.
