SMITH, Wilbert (Bert) Norman

Died peacefully on August 13, 2022 at the age of 91 with his wife Joy and daughter Shelley at his side. Bert lived most of his life in and around Erin, Ontario where he raised his children Ernie (Connie – Adam, Kyle, Jason, Rachel), Terrie Cheyne (Glen – Amanda, Michael, Anne), Ed Stevens (Anita – Tayla, Sam, Tipper), and Shelley Caseley (Todd – Keith, Colin). Bert was also a father figure to Don Roper, Jacqueline Whitney, and Archie McLennan. Great-grandfather of ten. Predeceased by parents Victor Smith, Hilda (Todd), siblings Tod, Eileen (Reid), Jack, Bill, Doug, Don, and Ken. Survived by siblings Joan and Harry. There were so many more lives touched by his love. Bert will be greatly missed. He will be remembered for his love of family (including four-legged), his patience and kindness to many and his enjoyment of pool, cards, and people. In his last years, he found much comfort from the clear blue sky.
