SMITH, Joyce Louise (Porritt)

Passed away on Monday July 31, 2023, at Huron Shores Hospice Tiverton in her 75th year. Beloved wife of the late Norman (Ted) Smith 2017. Stepmother to Michael Smith (Lise) and Karen Smith. Grandma to Patrick Smith Emma and Catherine and great grandma to Alex and Sam. Dear sister of Norm Porritt (Linda) of Fergus and sister-in-law of Louise Porritt of Georgetown. Predeceased by her parents Margaret and Reverend Ralph Porritt. Brother Rosslyn Porritt and stepson Craig. Joyce went to school in Arthur and later became a bookkeeper. She moved to Kincardine after her marriage. She and Ted lived in many countries because of his work. After returning to Kincardine, she owned a clothing store Jay’s Fifth Ave and later sold insurance and did some bookkeeping for a few local businesses. She will be remembered fondly by her many relatives and friends. Visitation and Service at the Anglican church of the Messiah, Kincardine. Internment in Kincardine cemetery.
