SMITH, James Patrick (Pat)
It is with profound sadness that the family of James Patrick (PAT) Smith announces his sudden and unexpected passing on June 18th in his 73rd year. Devoted husband and best friend to Liz for 44 years, loving father to Andrew (Janelle), Matt (Nikita), and Lindsey (Trevor). He was a proud Grandpa to his treasured grandchildren Bryden, Evie, Asher, Ophelia & Frankie. Pat is predeceased by his parents, Ruth & Ron Smith, older sister Carol and brother-in-law Charlie Jackson. Also predeceased by niece Melanie Harris and nephew Chris Jackson. He will be forever missed by his younger sisters Sue (Phil), Bev (Glenn) and brother-in-law Robb (Joyce) and many nieces & nephews who adored Uncle Pat. Pat lived for his family and brought joy and endless laughter to those around him. The family would like to thank dear neighbours, paramedics and the team at Groves Memorial Hospital who fought hard to keep Pat with us. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
