Johannes Cornelis ‘John’ Sluis of Palmerston passed away at Palmerston & District Hospital on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, in his 75th year. Husband of Ana (Nobel) Sluis.  Father of Mary Sluis & Buddy Washington of Cambridge, Wanda & Ben Fokkelman of the Netherlands, and Jarno Sluis of Mount Forest.  Opa of Faye, Mylo, Caleb, and Nolan. Brother of Cocky Sluis, Mieke & Ries De Vos, and Riet & Jan Kromwijk, and brother-in-law of Gijs Van Zuilen, all of the Netherlands. Predeceased by his sister Toos Van Zuilen. Visitation was held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00pm.  Funeral service was held at the Clifford Community Church on Monday, August 22, 2022 at 11:00am with reception followed. The service was live-streamed, and the link available on the funeral home website. Memorial donations to the Clifford Community Church would be appreciated.
