SINGER, Steve
Steve Singer passed away peacefully on January 20, 2019, in his 92nd year, at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Home, Waterloo, ON. Steve is predeceased by his loving wife Kathleen Singer nee Kiraly of 56 years. He is survived by his brother Frank Szinger and predeceased by his parents Steve and Mary Szinger. Steve will be loved and remembered by his children Leslie, Stephen, Tom and Barbara as well as his daughters-in-law and son-in-law; Andrea, Charlotte, Priscilla and Robert. Cherished grandfather to beloved grandchildren; Nicole, Julia, Kevin, Cameron, Leilah, Kelvin, Matthew and Ryan. Steve was born in Mor, Hungary. He immigrated to Canada and established homes and lasting relationships in Welland, Niagara Falls, Georgian Bay and Fergus Ontario. A Boy Scout Leader and Tool and Die Maker he was rich with talent and his talents were supplemented with a love for woodworking, gardening and repairing anything that needed fixing. Visitation will take place at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home. 280 St. David St. South, Fergus on Friday February 1, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 760 St. David Street N, Fergus on Saturday February 2, 2019 at 10:30am. Interment to follow Funeral Service. The Family would like to thank all the support and care Steve received while living at Columbia Forest Long Term Care Home. Memorial donations in Steve’s name may be made to Bladder Cancer Canada.
