Debbie Ann Simard of Pike Lake passed away at Guelph General Hospital on Friday, January 16, 2026, in her 72nd year. Partner of Jim Mitchell. Mother of Donat Simard and his wife Ilene of Oakville. Remembered by Jim’s family, Stephen Mitchell of Cambridge, David and Maureen Mitchell of Hamilton, and Gordon and Evelyn Mitchell of Toronto, and by their families. Sister of William (Lorna) Madill of Ramara, Donna Gault of Port Hardy, BC, and Kim Dunlop (Jeff Chaulk) of Courtney, BC. Good friends of Jim and Monique Dunlop of Pike Lake. Predeceased by her 1st husband Donat Simard Sr., and by her parents, Fred and Ethel (Hicks) Madill. Loving remembered by many nieces and nephews, and their families. A family service will be held at in the spring, with interment in Harriston Cemetery.
