SHRIVE, Philip Barry “Buster”
It is with broken hearts that our family shares the news of the passing of Philip Barry “Buster” Shrive. He passed away peacefully at home with his family on June 8th, 2023 at the age of 71 after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Deb (nee Huether). Loved Dad of Emma (Jimmy) Moffatt and Elliott (Midori) Shrive. Adored Papa of Sawyer Shrive and Duncan Moffatt. Loved brother of Laura (Phil) Taylor. Loved brother-in-law of Doug (Brenda) Huether, Paul (Louise) Huether, Kathy (the late Gary) Copeland. He was loved and will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Philip and Margaret Shrive. Although we will miss him greatly, we know he was surrounded by the love of his family and very good friends. Rest in peace Buster. “See you later”. Thank you to the outstanding staff at Bayshore, the Guelph General hospital oncology department, Grand River hospital, Dr. Robinson, Dr. Lund and Dr. Ruddock. Friends will be received at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Wellington would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Philip B. Shrive in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
