SHEEHY, Mary

Mary Margaret Sheehy (nee Fitzmaurice), of Harriston, passed away at Caressant Care, Harriston, on Thursday, December 27th, 2018 in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Sheehy. Loving mother of Gertrude Wagner and her husband Ron of Guelph, Pat Sheehy and his wife Pauline of Kenilworth, Betty English and her husband Ray of Elmira, George Sheehy and his wife Donna of Harriston and Jacqueline Rodgers and her husband Borden of Orangeville. Cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Teresa Horrigan, and sister-in-law of Bernie Fitzmaurice, and John Ondercin. Predeceased by siblings Anna Hill and her husband Lorne, Margaret Haid and her husband Cecil, Jack Fitzmaurice, Rita Ondercin, Matt Fitzmaurice and his wife Catherine and brother-in-law Vince Horrigan. Lovingly remembered by her extended family and friends. A mass of Christian burial was held at St. Mary of the Purification Catholic Church, 230 Queen Street East, Mount Forest, on Monday, December 31st at 11:00am, with visitation held at the church prior to the service from 10:00 – 10:45am. Spring interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Kenilworth. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
