‘Shame on you’
Dear Editor:
An open letter to Laura Hanley, executive director, Community Living Guelph Wellington.
Regarding the closures of the day programs: shame on you and anyone else involved in this decision.
It brought tears to my eyes when I read this past week of Greg Blagton and of Christopher Wilson and many others losing this program. I suspect that none of you have children that need and deserve a helping hand. To take away this long running program is so cruel. And to replace it with nothing basically is beyond cruel.
I don’t have a child or even know one personally that attends a day program, but it stunned me to the core that a decision like this would be made.
These people ask for nothing and that’s what it seems you’re giving them. Correct this injustice.
