SHAFER RUMBLE, Nancy
On January 4, 2026, at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, Nancy Shafer Rumble took a graceful final bow, leaving behind a legacy of love, light, and unforgettable presence. Nancy was a devoted mother to four sons and a proud grandmother to six grandchildren. She was a cherished friend to many, with a rare gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and deeply valued. She met life with courage, honesty, and an open heart—carrying love everywhere like a guiding lantern. Known for her spirited nature and fearless authenticity, Nancy spoke truth boldly and lived fully. Laughter flowed easily, joy was contagious, and every moment was embraced with warmth and passion. At 79, her life was measured not simply in years, but in meaningful moments, deep connections, and lasting memories. Though her voice has grown quiet, the song remains—echoing in shared stories, familiar laughter, and the love that continues to surround family and friends. Nancy’s light lives on, woven into every life she touched, and every heart forever changed. A burial of Nancy’s cremated remains will take place at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus, ON. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 21 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm at The Highland Rugby Club, 160 Albert St W, Fergus, ON where we gather not in sorrow alone, but in gratitude—celebrating a life beautifully lived and a spirit that continues to guide us home. Arrangements entrusted to Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. S., Fergus, ON, 519-843-3100.
