SETT, Johanne Marie
formerly of Fergus and Welland, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2021 at the age of 55, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Durham after a 16-year battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Dale of 36 years. Loving Moma Bear of Rebecca (Mark) and Bubba. Cherished Mama of Leighland and Brock. Johanne will be deeply missed by her parents Art and Alinda Bishop and siblings Bill (Mary-Jane). Loving sister-in-law of Cathy and Ken. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends she encountered through hockey, ringette and lacrosse. Johanne faced her 16-year cancer battle with grace and humour, always maintaining her positive attitude and caring nature. Family and friends may visit at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00pm & 7:00 - 9:00pm, and on Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 11:00am - 1:00pm. A service will begin at 1:00pm in the funeral chapel. Everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing. It is strongly encouraged to please RSVP through the funeral home website. The service will be recorded and will be made available online afterward. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a local palliative care organization of your choice.
