Second annual John Licari charity event in April will support SickKids

GUELPH – Musicians from Southern Ontario will gather on April 6 at 7pm in honor of local musician, singer and friend, John Licari, who died in June 2022 after a three-year battle with cancer. 

John was a staple of the Southern Ontario music scene as well as the longtime organist and music director for Sacred Heart Church in Guelph, since 1988. 

He was also one of the top three automotive after-sales managers in the country working for Policaro Porsche for his last seven years. 

Original band members and high school friends, Johnny Cusinato and Jason Damaren will perform as well as Southern Ontario musicians Dave Huber, D’eve Archer, Attila Toth and the jazz/funk group Forza, (Jason Raso, Enio Diretto and Daniel Steduto); joining them will be world renowned virtuoso guitarist, Adrian Raso. 

The band will be joined by actor, director, television host and musician, Frank Licari (John’s brother) who will MC the event and perform lead vocals on a number of songs, including performing an original song that he wrote for his brother last year. 

 The evening will include a 90-minute concert filled with a diverse genre of music including, jazz, funk, blues, rock, folk, rockabilly and more, as well as stories and multimedia memories celebrating a man’s life that meant so much to so many.

The event is presented by Quite Frankly Entertainment in partnership with and officially sanctioned by SickKids Foundation and SickKids Hospital.

The venue will be the RiverRun Centre at 35 Woolwich St., Guelph.
