Scottish Festival gets community designation
Discussion was short and sweet when it came to Centre Wellington endorsing a request from the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games to have the event designated as a community event.
Talks at the June 17 committee of the whole acknowledged the 68th Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games scheduled for Aug. 9 to 11 at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex, is a community festival of municipal significance. The designation assists organizers in their liquor licence application.
