SCOTT, Joan (nee Nelson)
Passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Freeport Health Centre at the age of 79 years. Beloved wife of the late Harvey Scott (December 24, 2018). Dear mother of Vicki (Chris Cherry), Joanne (Brian Wideman), Kerry (Tim Shantz), and Wayne Scott. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Cory (Monica) Wideman, Samantha (Jesse Monk), Misty Gaidy (Kurtis Jack), Jackie (Jordan Kerr), Tiffany (Mike Shantz), Natessa (Dustin Streicher), Keela (Austin Bearinger), Leland Scott, Carly Scott and by her great-grandchildren Chloe, Hailey, Bentley, Braxten, Lincoln, Colby, Valerie, and Connor. Joan was a very active member of Gale Presbyterian Church, Elmira. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will take place on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11am at Gale Presbyterian Church, 10 Barnswallow Dr., Elmira, with a reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Mary’s Cardiac Care, Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
