Scotland Street bridge crossing reopens in time for long weekend
The Scotland Street Bridge crossing across the Grand River has reopened ... for now.
Signs are now gone from the site and traffic is flowing smoothly.
In an email to the Wellington Advertiser from Wellington County construction manager Mark Eby, he said “the sidewalk work is complete and that is the reason the sidewalk is now open.”
Eby added there are a few other things that can be done, but the contractor had other commitments and had to leave to go to another project.
Eby noted there is a possibility that more work may be done in October when the contractor is free again.
He said he would know more later this month.
