Santa Claus in Erin on Nov. 26
Councillors are partly waiving insurance requirements so Santa Claus can come to town.
This year’s Santa Claus parade in Erin is slated for Nov. 26, and, as usual, it is hosted by the local Lions Club.
As part of the municipality’s special occasion permit, applicants are requested to provide proof of $5 million in insurance. The Erin District Lions Club is unable to do that as it carries only $1 million.
Last year council waived the insurance requirement and agreed to waive it once more and accept the club’s existing proof of insurance.
