Things are going to be “just ducky” again in Arthur with its annual Arthur Lions Club Rubber Duck Race on May 9.

Wellington North Mayor Andy Lennox quipped, “It’s time again to close the street for the rubber duck race.”

Ian Turner wrote to council asked for the temporary closure of a portion of Francis Street East between George Street and Charles Street in the former Village of Arthur from 8am to 3pm.

Council had no concerns with the request.

Lennox laughed, “It’s hard to think of this while the river is frozen over.”
