ROGERS, Frances Leone (Davy)

Of Farewell, passed away at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest, on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in her 98th year. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon Rogers in 2001. Mother to Murray Rogers (Denise) of Sundridge, Patricia Smith (Doug) of Cranbrook, B.C., and David Rogers (Donna) of Kitchener. Grandmother to Adam Rogers (Lisa), Paul Rogers (Rachel), Lisa Marier (Jon), Todd Rogers (Courtney) and Kristyna Whynacht (Alex). Great-grandmother to Brodin, Hunter, Jayden, Zachary, Zoey, Sophia, Matylda, Riley, Nora and Lily. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Kitty (Andrews) Davy, her brothers Robert Davy, Chester Davy, William Davy, and Donald Davy, and her sisters Irene Morrison, Pearl Shields, and Dorothy Moeller. Frances dedicated her life working long hours at the Roger’s General Store and Feed Mill in Farewell. After the store closed, her time was spent driving a school bus, working at Sears, volunteering at the Thrift Store in Mount Forest and travelling by motorhome around the country. She loved to garden and tend to the perennial flowers she planted. She spent time at the cottage, fishing, canoeing, water skiing, swimming and floating for hours, often reading a book while doing so. She was an active member of the Legion, helping with the Ladies Auxiliary and playing cards. She also won many trophies bowling in Mount Forest, loved knitting, tending campfires, and playing horseshoes. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston. Her family would like to extend gratitude to the staff at Louise Marshall Hospital, Ontario Health at Home, and Birmingham Lodge. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Louise Marshall Hospital or The Royal Canadian Legion, Harriston would be appreciated. Online condolences at www.hardyleefuneralhome.com
