PALMERSTON- Revival 69: The Concert That Rocked the World is the Minto Arts Council’s  Big Film Fest feature for March 2023.

The film tells the story of one of three 1969 music festivals that “changed the world,” film festival organizers state in a press release.

“The second most important event in rock and roll history” was a one-day event held at the University of Toronto’s 20,000 seat Varsity Stadium called the Toronto Rock and Roll Revival,” the release states.

Featuring never-before seen 16mm film of the concert, Revival 69: The Concert That Rocked the World is the true story of a concert that seemed, until the very last minute when Lennon joined, poised to be a flop.

Included in the lineup were Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bo Diddley, Gene Vincent, The Doors, Alice Cooper, and Lennon with The Plastic Ono Band.

Showtime on March 20 is  7:15pm at the Norgan Theatre in Palmerston.

Admission is $10.
